Flytifuglar
Flytifólk er bólkur við fýra tónleikarum, sum allir eru fluttir til Føroya úr ávikavist Bretlandi, Týsklandi og Danmark. Tey spæla tónleik, sum eyðkennir tónleikaran á ferð so sum Klezmer tónleik úr Eysturevropa, brúdleypstónleik úr Balkan og løg hjá fjakkandi Romani sigoynarum.
Hesin tónleikurin dregur fram í ljósið, hvussu mentanir hava møtst og ávirkað hvørja aðra, langt áðrenn modernaða alheimsgerðin mentist. Á konsertini hoyra vit eisini nýggj løg, sum limir í bólkinum hava skrivað.
English
Flytifólk is a band of four musicians who have moved to the Faroe Islands from the UK, Germany, and Denmark. Their repertoire is based around the idea of travelling musicians, e.g. Klezmer music from Eastern Europe, Balkan wedding bands, tunes from roving Romani Gypsies.
Their music highlights the cross-fertilization of cultures that existed long before the modern concept of globalization. These concerts will also feature new compositions by members of the band.
The band members are:
Daniel Rye - clarinet
Anna Hüdepohl - accordion
Torleik Mortensen - double bass
James Goodwin - percussion
